Advocate, Educate, Act
- To implement the policies of the Canadian Labour Congress
- Through a delegated decision making process, represent the affiliated organizations in developing and expressing public policy and assisting the affiliates in their internal undertakings upon request.
- To develop policies and co-ordinate labour's positions on social and economic issues in the Yukon.
- To represent affiliated employee organizations in dealing with the Yukon government.
- To work to ensure that working people are represented in the political decision making process and on boards and commissions in the Yukon.
- Together with the Canadian Labour Congress, develop and deliver union educational programs and seminars.
- To promote just labour laws for both unorganized and organized workers in the Yukon.
- To promote full social and economic justices in an environment free from all forms of discrimination and harassment for all working people in Yukon.
- To promote full social and economic equality for women in Yukon.
- To promote the right to self government, social and economic justice for the aboriginal people of Yukon.
- To co-ordinate social and political action, in co-operation with other organized groups where possible or practical, with the intent of improving social and working conditions for all people of Yukon and to promote and preserve the open democratic form of government in Yukon.
- To promote the protection of the environment in Yukon through such programs as sustainable development.
- To promote full recognition of Yukon within the Canadian Federation.
- To always remain responsible to and representative of the affiliated organizations which together constitute Yukon Federation of Labour.
